On August 19th, Disney+ unveiled new stills from its upcoming dark comedy spin-off, "Agatha: Coven of Chaos." Stemming from the events in "WandaVision," the character Agatha Harkness first appeared as the enigmatic neighbor Agnes in Westview before unveiling her true identity - a centuries-old witch of immense power.
The series picks up right where "WandaVision" left off, following the epic confrontation between Agatha and Wanda Maximoff, which left Agatha ensnared within Wanda's chaotic spell. Delving into a perilous yet fascinating world of dark sorcery, Agatha seeks to uncover the mysteries surrounding Wanda's absence, all while navigating a twisted realm filled with danger and intrigue. With the aid of a suspicious gothic teenager, she manages to break free from the binding spell, only to discover that her powers have vanished. Determined to regain her abilities, Agatha sets out on a journey, gathering allies along the way, to reclaim her rightful place among the coven of witches.
"Agatha: Coven of Chaos" comprises nine episodes, starring Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness. Joining her are newcomers Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, and Patricia Lupe, each bringing their unique talents to the cast. The series is set to premiere on September 18th on Disney+, with the first two episodes available for streaming right away.
