The narrative unfolds in a parallel universe characterized by retro-futuristic aesthetics, where the Fantastic Four are the only heroes in existence and are deeply cherished by the populace. The movie will feature a flashback sequence highlighting their initial victory over the Mole Man, which marked their debut as superheroes.

The Fantastic Four enjoy the favor of the government and have been dubbed as such by the public. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman have a son named Franklin Richards, while the Human Torch serves as the team's spokesperson. It seems that the Fantastic Four have become part of the elite social circle.

However, the Fantastic Four are not native to this universe; they originate from the primary Universe 616. During an experiment, they discovered the Negative Zone and, through further investigation, crossed over into the universe depicted in the film, acquiring superpowers along the way – a twist on their comic book origins.

After becoming superheroes, the Fantastic Four made several attempts to return to Universe 616 but were unsuccessful. At the film's current timeline, during an extraterrestrial mission, they encounter Silver Surfer, who warns them of the impending arrival of Galactus.

In this universe, Galactus is the most terrifying consumer of worlds across multiple dimensions, perpetually roaming the cosmos and devouring planets in his path. His ultimate goal is to consume entire multiverses, and he will reappear in future MCU projects.

Robert Downey Jr., a native of this universe, will make an appearance in the film and join the Fantastic Four on their journey back to Universe 616.

"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" centers around the theme of family, echoing the comics' portrayal of the group as the “World's Greatest Family.” This thematic focus feels fitting and true to the source material.

Currently, production on "The Fantastic Four" has commenced, with the film set for release next year.
