The face of Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, aka "The Penguin," emerges from flames and smoke, symbolizing the ascension of Gotham's dark underbelly.

This series delves into the rise of The Penguin within Gotham's criminal underworld. Colin Farrell reprises his role as the cunning and ambitious Oswald Cobblepot. He is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Cristin Milioti as The Hangman, Mark Strong as The Roman, and Clancy Brown as one of Gotham's former mob bosses, Salvatore Maroni. Craig Zobel, who serves as an executive producer, directs the first three episodes. Lauren LeFranc takes on the dual role of writer and showrunner, with Farrell, along with film director Matt Reeves and producer Dylan Clark, also serving as executive producers.

The eight-episode run of "The Penguin" is set to debut on HBO Max on September 19, 2024.
