Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix alongside Lady Gaga, with Zazie Beetz reprising her role as Sophie Dumond, the film promises to be a thrilling sequel.

According to the production company's plans, "Joker 2" will feature a narrative that delves into the past. Some of the storylines will take place within the confines of Arkham Asylum, imbuing the film with a prequel-like quality. This R-rated musical drama will have a richer tapestry of elements and a darker undercurrent than its predecessor.
