Set to grace the Huashan Cultural and Creative Park from August 21 through 25 is the 2024 Sundance Film Festival: Asia. Alongside screenings of carefully selected feature-length films, the festival's highlight is undoubtedly the Master Class forums, which bring together an impressive lineup of film industry professionals. With a single-day pass, attendees gain access to all the day's Master Class sessions.
This year's Master Class series features guests such as Alan Taylor, director of "Game of Thrones," who will appear alongside his wife, Yi-Jun Wu, also a director, known for "The Blue-Eyed Samurai." Together, they'll delve into the topic of "A Director's Dilemma: Integrating and Realizing Creative Vision Across Departments." Additionally, the lineup includes Makoto Tezuka, son of manga legend Osamu Tezuka, and Oscar-winning sound mixer Skip Lievsay, renowned for his work on "Gravity." Also joining them are "Joker" cinematographer Lawrence Sher, the co-founder and CEO of movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, Jeff Blake, and Jon Snoddy, former head of Walt Disney Research. The roster of speakers is truly formidable.
